My name is Hannah Ingalls and I am currently a law student at Campbell University Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law. Prior to law school, I attended Wingate University where I received a B.S. in Sports Management while playing DII lacrosse.
I am also a major mental health advocate. In 2017, I began my own company called Sunshine Speaks, where I would share my struggles with mental health and how I navigate the mental gymnastics that college athletics creates. Through Sunshine Speaks, I would speak about how the NCAA has a desperate need for mental health reform. From there, a colleague suggested I attend law school. Since that day, my goal has been to work in sports with the goal of reforming mental health for collegiate athletes and hoping to be a part of that change.
I currently work in a law firm and as a sports agent assisting collegiate athletes with NIL representation. A quote I live by is, “Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not.” I love this quote because it is so true; without proper advocacy we will forever be in a stalemate of lackluster operation. I am proud to be a part of the change that is happening in sports!
